Do you receive error messages while using ESET's File/Mail/Gateway Security agents?

If you are using ESET File, Mail, or Gateway products, and errors are written to the /var/log/esets/daemon.log file such as:

"Child process smfi[7307] terminated with return code 69, restart in 60 seconds" or

"Child process smtp[7148] terminated with return code 70, won't be restarted"

please see the information contained in this article.

First, verify that a valid license file (nod32.lic) exists for your ESET product in the /etc/esets/license directory.

A valid license for ESET File Security will allow you to use these ESET agents:
esets_dac
libesets_pac.so
esets_scan

 

A valid license for ESET File Security will allow you to use these ESET agents:

esets_cli
esets_mda
esets_pipe
esets_smfi
esets_smtp

A valid license for ESET File Security will allow you to use these ESET agents:

esets_ftp
esets_http
esets_ssfi.so
